Safe Drinking Water
September 16, 2021
On September 16, 2021, at 8:40 p.m. a nixle was sent out from the Lake County's Public Health Officer, Gary Pace, stating that people on private water systems should stop drinking their water immediately due to high levels of Cyanotoxin in the Oaks arm of the lake. This absolutely does not include our public water system. Clearlake Oaks County Water District continues to serve safe drinking water, in addition, if and when we can no longer meet California standards, all customers will be notified immediately. All samples from our water plant comes back as ND (non-detectable) for Cyanotoxin. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our office at 998-3322.
Thank you, Dianna Mann, General Manager
